At The Cultural Center of Spain in Washington, D.C., I joined artist Marina Vargas and cultural manager Rosina Gómez-Baeza for a roundtable moderated by Sofía Barroso, head of the Spanish Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA).
The discussion highlighted Vargas’s IntraVenus from NMWA’s Women to Watch exhibition while addressing the challenges and opportunities for women artists in Spain today.
